A camera setup designed to replicate realistic imperfections in out-of-focus areas.
IMPORTANT UPDATE : Does not currently work for Blender 4.0 because the driver name has changed from "cycles.fisheye_lens" to "fisheye_lens".
To add the Bokeh Camera to your project:
Append the "Bokeh_Camera" and "Bokeh_Camera_Lens" objects from the provided .blend file.
How to use:
- It will only work in Cycles.
- Should work like Blender's default camera in most scenarios, this is an almost completely automatic system.
- You can import your own bokeh images by changing the Bokeh_Camera_Lens material. There are 41 textures provided for you to experiment with.
- The effect decreases the image brightness, to compensate for this under render properties, in colour management, the exposure can be increased.
- Extreme camera settings can make the bokeh effect not shown or unnatural looking, if this happens decrease the clip start under the lens/focal length. If you are using a high focal length use Bokeh_camera.perspective instead, it is far more tolerant, but does not have a fisheye effect.
- camera scale must be set to 1, while the camera is selected use alt+s to set this.
